Cambodian Delegation Visits National Pavilion at Expo 2020 After Signing Right to Host Asian Youth Games

DUBAI: The Cambodian delegation, led by the Minister of Tourism, Thong Khon, and Phnom Penh Municipal Governor, Khuong Sreng, have visited the Expo 2020 in Dubai on Tuesday. The delegation made the visit following the General Assembly of the Asian Sports Council where Cambodia signed the right to host the 5th Asian Youth Games, 2029.

Cambodia is also participating in the exhibition with a country-focused pavilion showcasing modern Cambodia and all its cultural traditions. The organization and inclusion of the ‘Cambodia Pavilion’ was conducted by an inter-ministerial committee chaired primarily by the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts.

The Cambodian pavilion in Dubai has received the attention and admiration of thousands of visitors, both from UAE and abroad.

Expo 2020 is organized under the theme "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future". The exhibition focuses on business and tourism, and is part of the recovery initiative for the COVID-19 crisis. The exhibition involves the participation of 192 countries and will run from 1 October 2021 to 31 March, 2022.
